LNG
Hrvatska, the state-owned company set up to build
and operate a liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal
on the Adriatic island of Krk, said it is seeking
bids for a contract to provide it with legal and
financial advisory services.
The selected advisor should draw up the business
and legal model for the construction of the
terminal and prepare the tender documents for the
selection of strategic and financial investors for
the project, LNG Hrvatska said in a tender notice.
The consultant will also assist during the
selection of contractors for the engineering,
procurement, building and start-up of the
terminal.
The bidding deadline is December 16.
LNG Hrvatska, which is currently in the process of
obtaining a location permit for the project, plans
an Open Season procedure this year to collect
non-binding declarations of interest to lease LNG
storage capacity.
The LNG terminal, which is planned to have an
annual regasification capacity of 4.0-6.0 billion
cubic meters, would aim to ensure secure gas
supplies for European markets while providing an
alternative supply route.
