Gross domestic electricity consumption in Bulgaria is expected to gradually
increase to 43.1 terawatt-hours (TWh) by 2020 while electricity production is
forecast to reach nearly 50.6 TWh, the energy ministry said.
Bulgaria's
gross domestic consumption in 2014 is expected to amount to 39.6 TWh while gross
output is seen at 56.6 TWh, the ministry said in its annual bulletin, quoting
data from the state-owned Energy System Operator (ESO).
In 2013,
Bulgaria's gross electricity production was 43.7 TWh. Its gross domestic
consumption was 37.6 TWh last year.
ESO is a unit of state-operated
Bulgarian Energy Holding.
