Turkish steel pipe maker Ozbal Celik Boru Sanayi Ticaret ve Taahhut said it has won a $12.7 million (10.2 million euro) contract for pipe supply as
part of a consortium with local peer Ufuk Boru Sanayi ve Tic.
The
partners won the deal in a tender called by Turkish state-owned oil and gas
distributor Boru Hatlari Ile Petrol Tasima (Botas), Ozbal Celik said in a bourse
filing on Tuesday.
Ozbal Celik’s cut from the deal amounts to 6.2 million
lira, corresponding to its 49% stake in the consortium.
Ozbal Celik’s
revenue rose 25.7% to 127 million Turkish lira in 2013, however its net loss
expanded to 12.8 million lira from 6.0 million lira a year earlier.
