Romanian
insolventhydropower producer Hidroelectrica will put 33 micro-hydropower plants
up for sale at a combinedstarting price of 84.7 million lei ($21.8 million/18.8
million euro) in February, local media has reported.
Hidroelectrica still
owns a total of128 micro-hydropower plantsacross the country with installed
capacities of up to 4 MW each,news agency Mediafax said on Monday.
"We
want to keep 23 micro-hydropower plants and revamp them,"Mediafaxquoted the
head ofHidroelectrica's judicial administrator, Remus Borza, as
saying.
The 33 micro-hydropower plantshave a combined installed capacity
of 26 MW and are located in the counties:Suceava, Bacau, Neamt,Hunedoara,
Maramures, Brasov, Arad, Sibiu, Arges, Buzau, Valcea andTimis.
A
micro-hydropower plant has aninstalled capacityof up to 10
MW.
Hidroelectrica said last year it expects to post a record profit
of1.2billion leiin 2014on a turnover of 3.3 billion lei.It targeted
production of 17.5 TWh for 2014.
State-controlled Hidroelectrica was
placed back under reorganisation procedure in February 2014, after exiting
insolvency proceedings in June 2013. It was first declared insolvent in June
2012.
