Serbia's energy regulator, AERS, said on Monday it has
approved a hike in household gas supply tariffs due to the strengthening of the
U.S. dollar against the Serbian dinar.
AERS said in a statement that the
tariff for households not supplied by state-owned gas monopoly Srbijagas will go
up by an average 5.6% as March 2.
The gas tariffs for households supplied
by Srbijagas will increase by an average 13% to 52.4 dinars ($0.4829/0.4265
euro) per cu m.
The average price of gas for households that are being
supplied by other gas distributors will be 53.2 dinars per cu m.
The
tariffs are without value added tax.
A total of 249,000 households in
Serbia, or 10% of the total, use natural gas.
