Zorlu Enerji, a part of unlisted textiles to electronics conglomerate Zorlu Holding AS, March 5 won a privatization tender for the purchase of 7 hydroelectric, 1 geothermal and 1 natural gas power plants for $510 million.

The firm said the total production capacity of the power plants is 140 megawatts.

Zorlu Enerji shares closed the first session of the day on the Istanbul Stock Exchange 5.68% higher at 4.84 Turkish lira ($3.7), amid a 1.86% higher overall market. Trading in the second session will start at 1100 GMT.
