Mohammad Ali Khatibi, a former deputy director of international affairs at the National Iranian Oil Company, has replaced Hossein Kazempour Ardebili who served in the post for 25 years, the Etemad Melli newspaper said.

"You will be appointed as...Iran's representative to the managerial board of OPEC considering you experience and commitment in issues related to OPEC and oil international market," Oil Minister Gholam Hossein Nozari said in a letter to Khatibi carried by the ministry's news service Shana Sunday.
