Von der Leyen Sees ‘Better Progress’ in Brexit Talks

“Better Progress” has been made in crucial areas of post-Brexit trade talks with the UK, the European Commission’s chief Ursula von der Leyen said during a G20 meeting on Friday, stressing, however that “time pressure is high.” “After difficult weeks with very, very slow progress, now we’ve seen in the last days better progress, more movement on important files. This is good,” von der Leyen told a news conference following the meeting, organised by Saudi Arabia’s current G20 Presidency and held virtually on November 21 and 22.
