Italy’s Enel Ups Its Stake In Enelco To 75% From 50% (04/10/2006)

Italy’s Enel increased on Wednesday its stake in Enelco to 75% from 50% currently. No financial details were disclosed. The remaining 25% stake belongs to Prometheus Gaz, a consortium consisted of Greek Kopelouzos Group and Russia’s Gazprom. Enelco is active in the development, construction and operation of electricity projects in Greece and the neighboring countries. It already holds two licenses for the development of electricity-combined cycle with natural gas fuel stations in Viotia and Evros regions. Enelco said that it will participate in every single tender for the development of electricity energy production units. It has already bid for a 400MW unit.
