It seems highly unlikely for Public Power Corp to purchase the Bobov Dol thermic unit in Bulgaria according to local press.
According to the Greek daily Kathimerini , the Bulgarian government set new environmental restrictions for the operation of the units.
The new restrictions “create a non-buy situation” commented a PPC;s top pfficial, according to Kathimerini.
It’s worthmentioning that it’s the second time that the Bulgarian government puts impendiments to PPC’s attempt to purchase the unit.
Officially, the final decision for the conclusion of the purchase will be delayed to Dec 11. The deal was valued at EUR105.3 millions.
