Following the Hellenic Ministry of Development's request, for as yet unspecified reasons, the visit to Athens of Mr Claude Mandil, Executive Director of the International Energy Agency (IEA), which was scheduled to take place on Wednesday, October 11, has been postponed. During his visit, Mr Mandil was to present the IEA's Report on Greece at a joint Press Conference with Mr Dimitris Sioufas, minister for Development. Mr Mandil was afterwards going to speak at a business luncheon organized by IENE.
As a result of this unfortunate turn of events, IENE is in the unfortunate position of having to announce the cancellation of the business luncheon scheduled to take place on October 11 at the Athens Intercontinental Hotel with Mr Mandil as speaker. Should Mr Mandil be invited to visit Greece at a later date, IENE will do its utmost to ensure his participation as speaker at a new event it is prepared to organize. Details will be announced in due course via IENE's website (www.iene.gr).
