Turkish Energy Minister Hilmi Guler and his Iranian counterpart Parviz Fattah signed an electricity cooperation agreement Tuesday, the Ihlas News Agency, or IHA, reported.
According to the agreement signed in Ankara Turkish state electricity transmission firm Turkiye Elektrik Iletim A.S. will strengthen the existing electricity transmission lines between the two countries.
The agreement also envisages the private firms of the two countries building power stations in Turkey and Iran.
