Russia's OAO Gazprom and Italy's Eni SPA will Thursday sign a deal on the South Stream gas pipeline linking their two countries, the Kommersant daily reported, citing unnamed sources.
The 900-kilometer pipeline, aimed at making energy supply to Europe more secure, will have an annual capacity of 30 billion cubic meters and should take three years to build.
Italian Prime Minister is in Moscow for meetings with Russian President Vladimir Putin Thursday. Eni's Chief Executive Paolo Scaroni has also traveled.
