Gas supplies under the project South Stream will begin in 2013, Itar-Tass reported Friday.
The decision was made during a working meeting of OAO Gazprom chief of the board of governors Alexei Miller and the chief
of ENI SpA concern, Paolo Scaroni on Friday.
The South Stream is a joint venture formed by Italy's Eni
SpA and Russia's OAO Gazprom to commission a natural gas
pipeline under the Black Sea, connecting Russian gas fields to
consumers in the European Union.
