Iran is ready to export gas to Europe through the Nabucco gas pipeline, the country's foreign minister, Manouchehr Mottaki, was reported as saying by the Iranian Students News Agency or ISNA.
The pipeline project, which is estimated to cost about $6.14 billion, will deliver gas from the Caspian Sea region to Austria through Turkey by 2011, ISNA said.
"Nabucco project can be one of the possible ways for Iran and the E.U. to cooperate in energy-related fields," Mottaki was reported as saying.
Iran has the world's second largest proven natural gas reserves.
