UK-Belgium Gas Link To Change To UK Import Mode 1100 GMT Mon

The U.K.-Belgium natural gas pipeline will switch the direction of gas flow to import gas into the U.K. from continental Europe at 1100 GMT Monday, the pipeline operator's Web site said.

The U.K.-Belgium natural gas pipeline will switch the direction of gas flow to import gas into the U.K. from continental Europe at 1100 GMT Monday, the pipeline operator's Web site said.

The 230-kilometer pipeline links Bacton in England to Zeebrugge in Belgium.

The pipeline is currently able to carry 20 billion cubic meters of gas a year into Europe and 25.5 bcm/year in the opposite direction.

The Interconnector is owned by 10 major energy companies.
