European Union gas supplies won't suffer as a result of Russian gas company OAO Gazprom's (GAZP.RS) decision to cut supplies to Ukraine, the European Commission said Monday.
Gazprom will cut about 25% of its supplies to Ukraine, commission spokesman Michele Cercone said, in response to an unresolved commercial dispute. But Gazprom has given its assurance that supplies to the E.U. will not be affected, he said.
