OAO Lukoil (LKOH.RS), Russia's largest independent oil producer, Friday said it paid $580 million for its pre-announced purchase of Uzbekistan's SoyuzNefteGaz Holding Ltd.
The company is a signatory to the Production Sharing Agreement for the South-Western Guissar and Ustyurtsk Region fields in Uzbekistan.
The acquisition gives Lukoil access to eight fields in the Central Asian nation with an estimated 100 billion cubic meters of C1 category gas reserves.
