Polish PGNiG Board To Select New CEO, Mgmt Team Wed

Polish state-controlled gas monopoly Polskie Gornictwo Naftowe i Gazownictwo (PGN.WA) is expected to get a new five-member management team after the company's supervisory board completes its selection process Wednesday, the daily Gazeta Prawna reports.

Polish state-controlled gas monopoly Polskie Gornictwo Naftowe i Gazownictwo (PGN.WA) is expected to get a new five-member management team after the company's supervisory board completes its selection process Wednesday, the daily Gazeta Prawna reports.

According to the daily, the two leading candidates for the chief executive's post are Bogdan Pilch, who heads the Polish operations of Gaz de France (1020848.FR), and Michal Szubski, the former head of PGNiG's regional distributor in Warsaw.

Altogether, 47 candidates applied to PGNiG's supervisory board for five senior management positions, including CEO and deputy CEO's for finance, sales and marketing, strategic projects, and technology and investment.
