OAO Tatneft (TATN.RS), Russia's sixth-largest oil producer by volume, said Wednesday its proved reserves of crude oil increased by 228 million barrels in 2007 to 6,139.7 million barrels.

The company's probable reserves of crude oil and condensate were 2.141 billion barrels as of Jan. 1, which is 146.9 million barrels more than a year earlier, an evaluation conducted by Miller & Lents, Ltd. showed.

Possible reserves of crude oil and condensate were 610.1 million barrels.

Last year, Tatneft produced 25.741 million metric tons of crude oil, or 516,936 barrels a day.
