The pipeline that delivers crude oil from Azerbaijan's capital, Baku, to the Black Sea port of Supsa in Georgia is ready to restart and will resume operation in the near future, a spokesman for pipeline operator BP PLC (BP) said Wednesday.

The spokesman couldn't say exactly when the pipeline will restart, but a Reuters report said Wednesday that the Azeri state oil company Socar has issued a tender to load 600,000 barrels of Azeri Light crude at Supsa on Nov. 11 or 12.

The 150,000 barrel-a-day capacity pipeline has been out of action since Aug. 12 after the conflict broke out between Russia and Georgia.
