Crude oil output at Russia's OAO Lukoil Holdings (LKOH.RS) will remain at least at 2008 levels in 2009, Deputy Chief Executive Leonid Fedun said Thursday.
Lukoil, 20%-owned by ConocoPhillips (COP), produced 71.2 million tons of oil in the first nine months of 2008, down from 72.7 million in the year-earlier period.
Separately, Fedun said recent changes to tax laws would trim $2 billion from Lukoil's tax bill in 2009.
He declined to comment on reports linking his company with a bid for a stake in Spain's Repsol YPF S.A. (REP).
