The newly-appointed Bulgarian Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Vasil Kalinov, is expected to arrive in Baku in March to replace the previous Ambassador Ivan Palchev, who left Azerbaijan last summer, abc.az reported Monday.

The newly-appointed Bulgarian Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Vasil Kalinov, is expected to arrive in Baku in March to replace the previous Ambassador Ivan Palchev, who left Azerbaijan last summer, abc.az reported Monday.

The Embassy of Bulgaria in Azerbaijan stated that Kalinov from Montana, Bulgaria was appointed new Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Bulgaria to Azerbaijan at the end of 2008 according to a decree issued by Bulgarian President Georgi Parvanov.

Kalinov is expected to aim to improve ties between Bulgaria and the oil rich Central Asian state when he moves to the capital Baku in the spring.
