PARIS (Dow Jones)-- The chief executive of EDF Energies Nouvelles (EEN.FR), a renewable energy business half owned by Electricite de France SA (EDF.FR), tells Le Revenu magazine that planned regulatory and tax changes could hold back the development of wind power in France.

"There is actually a negative wind that's blowing on this business at the national level," David Corchia tells Le Revenu.

"Some regulatory changes currently under discussion will delay the development of wind-power in France," he says, without being specific.

A plan to scrap a corporate tax that helps fund local authorities also will have negative consequences for wind power in France because it motivated local officials to introduce wind turbines in their area, Corchia says.
