Russian coal output decreased 19.3% on the year to 45.7 million metric tons in January-February, the Federal State Statistics Service said in a report Thursday, Prime-Tass news agency reported.
Of the total, coking coal output fell 37.8% on the year to 7.1 million tons in the period, while the output of coal concentrate dropped 24.7% on the year to 10.4 million tons.
Iron ore output decreased 32% on the year to 11.8 million tons in the period.
