Turkish construction and energy company Enka Insaat (ENKAI.IS) reported a rise in 2008 net profit on the back of higher sales, the Ihlas News Agency, or IHA, reported Tuesday.
Citing the Web site of the Istanbul stock exchange, the agency said the company posted a consolidated net profit of TRY770.8 million ($465.2 million) in 2008, compared to TRY747.1 million in 2007.
Sales rose 31% to TRY9.02 billion in 2008 from TRY6.87 billion a year earlier.
At 0750 GMT Enka shares were trading in Istanbul Stock Exchange 0.9% higher at TRY5.70, versus a 1.8% higher overall market.
