Czech power utility CEZ AS (BAACEZ.PR) said Thursday it has bought a 100% stake in Czech Heat AS, a privately-held Czech operator of a biomass power and heating co-generation plant in southern Czech Republic.
Czech Heat's Energeticke Centrum Jindrichuv Hradec, located in a Czech town 130 kilometers south of Prague, generates over 30,000 megawatt-hours of electricity a year by burning largely wood chips and other biomass.
The company supplies heat to about 3,500 households in Jindrichuv Hradec.
No financial details of the transaction were disclosed.
