French oil major Total SA (TOT) still hopes to make a final investment decision on taking part in developing Russia's giant Shtokman offshore gas field by the end of the first quarter 2010, a company executive said Wednesday.
Speaking at an energy conference in Paris, Arnaud Breuillac, Total's senior vice-president for continental Europe and central Asia, also confirmed the company expects the first oil from Kazakhstan's Kashagan field coming on stream at the end of 2012.
