Ukrainian state gas firm Naftogaz has paid OAO Gazprom (GAZP.RS) in full for deliveries in May, a spokeswoman for the Russian gas monopoly said Monday.
"Naftogaz has paid in full for May deliveries," said the spokeswoman.
Gazprom's Chief Executive Alexei Miller said earlier this month that it wasn't clear whether Ukraine's state gas company Naftogaz was able to meet payments for the deliveries.
The deadline for Naftogaz to pay for the gas was June 7.
