OAO Gazprom (GAZP.RS), the world's biggest producer of natural gas, may postpone the launch of the Kovykta gas field beyond 2017, the company's Deputy Chief Executive Alexander Ananenkov said Wednesday.
TNK-BP Ltd., the Russian joint venture half-owned by U.K. oil major BP PLC (BP), currently holds the license for the field, but has agreed to sell a controlling stake to Gazprom.
Talks between the two companies are ongoing, but a final accord has been held up.
