Russia's government has granted state-controlled OAO Gazprom (GAZP.RS) licenses for four blocks in the Russian Far East without a tender, the Interfax news agency reported Monday.
Gazprom was awarded the Kirinsky, Ayashsky and East Odoptu blocks, which are part of the Sakhalin-3 project, on the Pacific island of Sakhalin. In addition, the company got a license for the West Kamchatka block on the Kamchatka peninsula.
The order was signed by Prime Minister Vladimir Putin on June 15, Interfax said.
