German utility RWE AG (RWE.XE) Friday said it will shut down its 1.3- gigawatt nuclear reactor Gundremmingen B Sunday evening for planned annual maintenance works.
In a written statement, the company said it will invest nearly EUR20 million for maintenance and repair works during the outage.
On its Web site, RWE said the reactor is due to resume power generation July 22.
