Eni SpA (E) said Monday its Livorno refinery has restarted operations after industrial action at the Tuscan facility ended and that it expects output returning to normal capacity by Wednesday.
Eni said it began the process of restarting operations at Livorno late Friday.
Workers had been blocking the refinery since Sept. 14, resulting in the stoppage of production on concern over job security as Eni holds talks to sell the 84,000-barrel-a-day refinery.
