Russia is planning a wave of privatization that could see stakes sold in ports, airports, shipping companies and oil company OAO Rosneft (ROSN.RS) in the second half of 2010, the Financial Times reports on its Web site Tuesday, citing First Deputy Prime Minister Igor Shuvalov.

Shuvalov is quoted as saying the government was working on a privatization plan that would raise money and allow companies to invest in infrastructure and reduce corruption.

"When it was very good in the market and we were collecting money for our reserves, we didn't talk much about privatization - it was almost dead," he said in Washington ahead of the Pittsburgh meeting of the Group of 20 nations this week.

"All the plans which were adopted we never fulfilled. I think now is the time when we can return to it...because of the revenue we can get."
