Eni SpA (E) has won a new concession to explore for gas onshore Pakistan, Chief Executive Paolo Scaroni said Wednesday after a meeting in Rome with a Pakistani delegation.
Scaroni said Eni is also in longer-term talks with Pakistan to bring gas from the Caspian Sea to Pakistan, India and China.
The Italian energy company expects to double its hydrocarbon output in Pakistan in five to six years after signing an agreement to give the country exclusive access.
