Eni SpA (E), Italy's biggest oil and natural gas company by volume, is unlikely to bid for Iraq's Nassiriyah oil field, Chief Executive Paolo Scaroni said Monday.
The possibility of Eni bidding for the southern Iraqi oil field is "very low," Scaroni said on the sidelines of a conference in Milan.
The Italy-based company is assessing whether to take part in the tender for Nassiriyah after it said last week that a consortium it is leading had managed to win a tender to develop Iraq's much larger Zubair oil field.
