Russia's biggest oil company OAO Rosneft (ROSN.RS) plans to produce 2% more oil in 2009 than last year, Chief Financial Officer Peter O'Brien said Wednesday.
"In total, the growth for this year will be 2%. We are sure that we'll meet our plan," O'Brien told journalists at a conference in Moscow.
Rosneft plans to produce 112.3 million metric tons of oil in 2009, compared with 110.1 million tons in 2008.
