deal with OAO Gazprom (GAZP.RS) to develop the Azar oilfield in the Islamic
Republic.
In statements posted on the Iranian oil ministry's Web site, the Petroleum Engineering
and Development Co. said it had signed a memorandum of understanding with the
Russian gas giant to develop the oilfield, which is located in western Iran.
