France
has
been importing power over the last few months to face the increasing
electricity demand as a lot of French homes are equiped with electrical
heaters, Maillard explained.
The country, whose electricity is 80% nuclear-produced, remains a net power
exporter and exported in 2009 between 25 terawatt hours and 30TWh, after having
exported around 45TWh in 2008, Maillard also said.
