Russian gas firm OAO Gazprom (GAZP.RS) expects to increase gas exports
to European customers by 15% this year compared with 2009, the company said
Tuesday.
State-controlled Gazprom said it plans to export 160.8 billion cubic meters of
gas in 2010, up from 140.2 billion last year. In 2011 and 2012, European
exports will rise further to 163.5 billion and 170.9 billion, respectively.
Demand for Russian gas in
Europe
--Gazprom's
most lucrative market--fell last year, due to lower economic activity and the
inflow of alternative energy supplies.
