Russian gas firm OAO Gazprom (GAZP.RS) may develop hydrocarbon reserves off the coast of Sri Lanka, the company said Monday.
Gazprom Chief Executive Alexei Miller held talks with Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa in Moscow Monday, the company said without providing further details.
Sri Lanka holds eight undeveloped offshore blocks in the Mannar basin located off the country's northwestern coast.
