German companies are interested in the privatization of Ankara-based natural gas distributor Baskent Dogalgaz, Turkish Energy Minister Taner Yildiz said Tuesday, the Ihlas News Agency, or IHA, reports.
On Oct. 30, Finance Minister Mehmet Simsek said Turkey expects to start a tender process for the privatization of Baskent Dogalgaz towards the end of 2009.
Turkey is considering holding a tender for the C and D units of Afsin-Elbistan thermal power plant this year, Yildiz said at a press conference.
