French state-controlled power giant Electricite de France SA (EDF.FR) doesn't plan to sell any of its production capacities, its new chief executive, Henri Proglio, said Thursday

Speaking in a meeting with analysts after the group released its 2009 earnings, Proglio was asked if EDF would consider either selling power to competitors or selling production capacity, as France's electricity market has been open to competition.

EDF's out-going chief financial officer, Daniel Camus, said that the extension of industrial tariffs in France under the TarTAM scheme would represent a provision of around EUR500 million over a 12-months period, or EUR300 million over six months.

Proglio also confirmed the group still aims to divest around EUR5 billion of assets in 2009-2010.
