Enel Green Power SpA (EGPW.MI) said Friday it signed for a loan of up to EUR600 million with the European Investment Bank to help finance renewable energy projects in Italy.

Enel Green Power said the EIB agreed to grant an initial EUR440 million loan,
which may be increased to EUR600 million.
The loan will be used for wind and photovoltaic projects in
Italy
with
a combined installed capacity of 840 megawatts. Enel Green Power said it will
invest about EUR1.3 billion.
The Rome-based company said the 20-year loan, which caries an interest rate
below the market benchmarks, will be guaranteed by its majority shareholder
Enel SpA (ENEL.MI).
