Eni SpA's (E) Chief Executive Paolo Scaroni said Monday he hopes the "first flux" of natural gas from Libyan pipeline Greenstream will resume in October.
Eni SpA's (E) Chief Executive Paolo Scaroni said Monday he hopes the "first flux" of natural gas from Libyan pipeline Greenstream will resume in October.

"From a technical point of view is doable. But if security risks arise, we'll change our minds," Scaroni said on the sidelines of a company event here.

Officials from the Italian government and Eni have repeatedly said the resumption of Greenstream is critical in light of the coming winter months. Greenstream accounts for 10% of Italy's natural gas. It feeds fuel from the Wafa field, in which Eni is joint operator with the Libyan National Oil Co.
