ITGI, which is sponsored by Italy's energy company Edison SpA (EDN.MI) and
Greece's DEPA, is competing with the Trans Adriatic Pipeline and the Nabucco
pipeline projects to carry natural gas from the second stage of Azerbaijan's
giant Shah Deniz offshore field to Europe.
