An oil research and exploration
facility in the south east of Turkey was attacked by Kurdish militants,
Turkey's Energy Minister Taner Yildiz said Thursday.
Speaking to reporters in Ankara, Yildiz said that the facility was located in
Batman, but gave few details on the scale and potential cost of the attack.
"The attack in Batman was an attack against the development of
Turkey," the energy minister said.
