German industrial conglomerate Siemens AG (SIE.XE) has secured an order
for a power plant project in
Saudi
Arabia
with a volume of more than $1
billion, the company said Wednesday.
The order is for 12 gas and six steam turbines, and 12 generators for a
combined-cycle power plant project. It includes a long-term service contract.
The order was made by Samsung C&T Corp. (000830.SE), part of the consortium building the
project.
