Power-equipment and train manufacturer Alstom SA (ALO.FR) and its Russian partner Rosatom have signed a EUR875 million contract to supply machinery to the Baltic nuclear power plant located in Kaliningrad in western Russia.

Alstom said Thursday in a statement.
The Baltic nuclear power station is the first such plant in
Russia
built
with the support of non-Russian companies, said Alstom. The plant will supply
the
Kaliningrad
region and will sell electricity to neighboring countries.
