Russia's biggest independent oil producer OAO Lukoil Holdings (LKOH.RS) plans to invest $29 billion until 2025 to develop hydrocarbons in the North Caspian region, the Interfax news agency reports Tuesday citing Lukoil Chief Executive Vagit Alekperov.

company launched production at the Korchagan field, its first Caspian project,
